ella-rose and william are 7 month old now i have been weaning them for a while now and they are going onto finger foods they are still on about four bottles a day i am terrified about getting enough calories into them with thier food can anyone help am i over reacting? i panic over everything xx
Dont worry Donna, they are seven months old and they should finger food. I made a big mistake for not sarting finger food as soon as my girls were 6 months old. They are now 2 years old and I still have to mash most of the food for them. They should have eaten anything at this age but it was my fault because I was too scared that they might choke. So please make sure you give them waht ever you are eating, babies have strong gums so they do manage to mash their own food. Therefore, do not panic, vbabies need their food and sleep to grow. You are doing the right thing. If I have another, as soon as it hits 6 months, I will give them what ever we eat, so it can get used to chewing food. Anyway best of luck
i used to whisk rusks into their milk too and i also found this helped them sleep a lot better and they always slept through the night. i gave them 250mls milk and 1 or 2 rusks b4 bed worked like a charm. x x x Sara
